ALKE was established in 1955 by civil engineer MSc Ayhan Kemaloglu and civil engineer MSc Hazim Alakavuk in Antalya. In between years 1955 and 1960, ALKE mainly undertook projects such as irrigation, building constructions, and bridges as a contractor. Consequently, between the years 1960 and 1970, both infrastructure and superstructure projects larger in size have been undertaken. 1970’s were a highlight in ALKE’s history for expansion thanks to its vast experience in general contracting in certain fields enabling it to be qualified as one of the leading contractors in Turkey.

ALKE’s widely accepted reputation in quality comes from its expertise in construction of hydraulic dams & HEPP’s, wastewater treatment plants, tunnels, steel pipelines, highways, stadiums, luxury residences, shipyards, factory buildings, and harbours, and production of pre-stressed concrete pipes.

Up to year 1987, investments were made in different sectors. A flour factory in Antalya and a steel kitchenware factory in Izmir were established. Investments in cosmetics were realized in Ankara and Izmir resulting in implementation of direct selling systems – one of ALKE’s specialties, for the first time in Turkey.

In 1995, ALKE decided to expand its interests and started investing in the tourism sector by opening two water amusement parks in Antalya and Adana in 1996, and 1998, respectively. Spread out to 400,000 square meters of land, Beachpark entertainment and shopping complex in Konyalti, Antalya had its debut in 2002. The same year also witnessed the opening of Dolphinland – a dolphin show facility for amusement and health therapy. In April of 2003, 650 bed capacity deluxe hotel Hillside Su was taken into operation.

In 2007, ALKE decided to get involved in renewable energy sector, thus partnered up with one of the world’s leading companies in wind turbine installation firms German SSC Montage, and formed a company named AESSC Ltd. which has commenced installing wind farms throughout Turkey and Europe. Another company was established for maintenance of wind turbines and rotor blades called AESH Ltd. In 2008, ALKE’s factory was taken into operation with a covered area of 20,000 square meters to produce composite rotor blades and steel towers for wind farms in Cigli, Izmir. As well as giving service in installation, ALKE now offers turn-key realization of wind farms.
