
ALKE was founded by Hazim Alakavuk,
Civil Engineer MsC and Ayhan Kemaloglu, Civil Engineer MsC in Antalya
in 1955. Between the years 1955-60 Alke mainly undertook small
building, irrigation and bridge projects. During the following ten
years 1960-70, projects similar in nature but larger in size were
undertaken and completed successfully. ALKE's present experience and
fields of interest mostly developed in the 70's and ALKE today has
become a leader in certain fields.
ALKE's reputation is in the construction of factory buildings, tunnels,
prestressed concrete and steel pipelines, road constructions, concrete
dams and off-shore structures, water treatment plants and luxury
residential buildings, newly implemented trenchless pipe laying
technology (pipe jacking, horizontal drilling)
Quality has always been of major importance over the 50 years of
contracting business and in principle, investments were made for
construction rather than industry.
Starting in 1980s, ALKE started making investments in other sectors. A
flour factory and stainless steel kitchen utensisl manufacturing
factories were founded.

Also Investments on cosmetics sector
have been made in Izmir and Ankara.
In 1995 ALKE started investment in Tourism. A water park named Antalya
Aqualand was taken into operation in 1996. In 1998 water amusement park
in Adana named Adana Aqualand, in 2002 BeachPark Leisure Complex and
Shopping units that spread over 400 000 s.q.m. area in
Konyaalti/Antalya and finally in May 2003 650 bed capacity Hillside Su
Hotel were taken into operation.
In 2007, ALKE entered the manufacturing side of the wind energy sector
and in 2008 completed a manufacturing facility to produce composite
blades and steel towers for wind turbines. A new company (AESSC)
was established with Germany's SSC-Montage for the erection of wind
farms. Another company was established in partnership with one of
Europe's largest manufacturer of steel towers, TEGOPI. ALKE Group now
produces steel towers through its subsidiary ALKEG-TEGOPI, and
composite blades through its subsidiary ALKEG in its manufacturing
facilities in Izmir.
